Custom domains allow you to host your Presently application with a URL such as "social.companyname.com" instead of using "companyname.presently.com". This service is free for all accounts on Presently! Here are instructions on how to setup your own custom domain name for your Presently account.

Steps:

  • In your DNS Console, go to Settings
  • Add a new CNAME Record
  • For Host Name, put in the label you wish. We have put "blog" in this example.
  • For Points To host name, put your Presently account url, e.g. youraccount.presently.com
  • For Host Type, select CNAME (Alias)
  • Log in to your Presently account as the admin user
  • Go to account setting panel and put your custom domain in the "Custom Domain" field and save.

Thats it! Now, try going to your microblog account you set up: "social.companyname.com" and you will see your Present.ly microblog. Users going to your company's Presently website "companyname.presently.com" will be redirected to "social.companyname.com". Please contact us if you have any questions about this process!
